Well-being and Involvement

An opportunity to reflect on children’s well-being and involvement levels and consider your learning environment.

By the end of the course the participants will:

• Have an understanding of Laever’s concepts of well-being and involvement

• Have applied both concepts to video material

• Have considered what children are learning

• Have considered their own learning environment and implications for practice

What difference will it make:

Participants will be able

• to more effectively attune and respond to children’s emotional lives

• to consider the learning environment and make changes to involve children more effectively

• to increase involvement levels, therefore ensuring more children engage in deep level learning

• Participants will have a theoretical framework they can share with parents
